The formal Biosignature and Vector Development Core, a new addition to the labs, is a collaborative effort among several types of systems with commercial input. A phage display facility has been established for mining peptide targets and is operated by Dr. Boles. Recombinant mAb production will be managed by Tom Diacovo, MD, PhD, an expert in this area and a collaborator on other projects. Finally, the application of genomic analysis of banked cancer or other tissue specimens and bioinformatic approaches will suggest likely new targets and is be managed by Dr. Rakesh Nagarajan. These elements will be supplemented by numerous commercial sources of small molecules available to us through many research contracts. In addition, the Center For Computational Biology is a collaborator in C-TRAIN for modeling and algorithm development.
