Imaging:
b. CT/Nuclear Laboratories:
The expansion of C-TRAIN imaging capabilities to include combination CT/SPECT is under the direction of Dr. Lanza. The existing Genesis camera with pinhole collimator
will be moved to the new space, and a Philips Precedence CT/SPECT unit installed
for both patient and animal imaging. This program has been developed in conjunction
with Philips Medical Systems (the original ADAC team) and has been supported by one of the Lanza Unconventional Innovations Program grants through the NCI for development
of targeted nanoparticles for nuclear imaging. We have experience in preparing both
CT and nuclear targeted contrast materials and new IP around these efforts. Through
our Philips contract we are actively recruiting full time professional staff to
assist in the research and hardware/software development, especially the CT component.
